I don’t know what it is about summer and yard sales, but here in sunny SoCal, they can easily ease into a party somehow. It was during one of these so-called sales where the ladies in the Cocktail Swim duo were getting their more-exclusive party on, in the cool indoors.
The hostess pulled out fancy retro gold-rimmed glasses that apparently were about to double as the poolside setting of fun to come.
Sparkling, adults-only elixir finished the scene.
What started as the age-old dilemma of how-on-earth-shall-we-tell-our-drinks-apart became beautiful bathing beauties, poolside, enjoying a summer day.
The first of the pair, Cocktail Swim: Kickin’ It encapsulates the jovial beginnings of any social gathering: Everybody looking good in colorful bikinis with hair perfectly did.
Do not let the bubbles and giggles fool you, there’s an M&A deal in the works.
Not a second to waste on a selfie.
Just living it.
But later that evening…
Cocktail Swim: Backstroke is the inevitable result of a fantastic time. Oh, Tina! There she goes again! We all know Tina, don’t we?
The pair give off a swinging 60’s vibe, with gold and muted pastels. These ladies are destined to be the buzzing overseers of a bar area somewhere. Something fun and unique to go with your mid-century modern.
This party feel like Palm Springs and we all wish we were invited.
Eventually everyone back at the yard sale had a cocktail in hand, each with a lovely lady still hanging on, doing her thing – albeit slightly watered down because of the wait.
I say it was worth it.
